Washington Township Police Department located in Franklin County, Pennsylvania will be establishing a Police Officer Eligibility list to fill open positions for patrol officers.  Our department proudly serves and protects 40 square miles of a growing, diverse community with a population of over 14, 000 residents and many businesses.  Washington Township borders Adams County, Pennsylvania and Washington & Frederick County, Maryland.

Physical agility and written test has been scheduled for October 19, 2019 at the Washington Township Police Department.

The successful candidate must:

• must be at least 21 years of age
• possess a valid drivers license
• possess a diploma from an accredited high school or GED
• pass physical agility test
• pass written test
• pass oral board interview
• pass physical exam, physiological exam, drug screen, vision exam
• pass thorough background exam & credit check

Washington Township Police Department offers a starting salary in 2019 of $51,697.98 along with an excellent benefit package and retirement plan.

Resumes and a $35.00 nonrefundable application fee will be accepted until 4:30 pm on Friday October 4, 2019.

• Hand delivered to the Washington Township Police Department, 13013 Welty Rd., Wayneboro, PA 17268 Monday – Friday 8:00 – 4:30 (check, money order, cash or credit card accepted (2.9% + $0.30 service fee applies) for the $35.00 nonrefundable application fee)
• Emailed in a word document or PDF to: admin@washtwp-franklin.org The subject line of the email should state “OCT 2019 TESTING”. Upon successfully receiving the resume, candidate will be invoiced for the $35.00 nonrefundable fee (2.9% + $0.30 service fee applies)
