Battle of Monterey Pass – Maria Furnace Road
On January 29th, 2014 Preservation Pennsylvania listed the Maria Furnace Road retreat route
from Gettysburg as an “at risk” historically significant property in the State of Pennsylvania.
The Maria Furnace Road is part of the Battle of Monterey Pass which was the second
largest Civil War battle fought in Pennsylvania.
