Planning Committee

The Planning Committee members also serve as the Board of Supervisors. The committee has many responsibilities which include matters relating to planning and zoning, reviewing and making recommendations on subdivisions and land development applications, planning modules, developing and updating the Township Comprehensive Plan and reviewing proposed ordinances related to the planning function.

The Planning Committee meets the second Monday of each month (as needed) Meetings are held at the Washington Township Municipal Building meeting room located at 11798 Buchanan Trail E. Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Those desiring to be placed on the Planning Committee’s agenda, may contact the Washington Township Municipal Office at 717-762-3128, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All items to be placed on the agenda must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. the Friday prior to the scheduled meeting.
