ROAD WORK TO BEGIN ON OLD FORGE RD.

Quincy Township will be working with the Michaex State Forest and DCNR on Old Forge Road in Quincy Township starting July 26, 2021 through August 13, 2021. We will be CLOSING the road daily (Monday-Friday) from 8:30am-2:30pm. The roadway WILL NOT be passable between those times. Please use Mont Alto Road/Rocky Mountain Road for your travels between those times. Using caution due to road work. Camp Penn will be accessible from the Mentzer Gap Road and the residents living above the gas line will have access to their properties from South Mountain Road . Thank you for your cooperation while this work is being done. Please share and pass along to friends and family.

Washington Township Meeting Time Changes


Washington Township Parks are Open for Pavilion Reservations

The Washington Township Supervisor’s Office began taking reservations on Monday, March 1, 2021. 

It is a first come, first serve basis and no reservation is final until it is paid for in full.We do accept various forms of payment, including cash, checks and credit cards. Please be aware that if you are choosing to use a credit card that there will be a 2.65% or $3 fee, whichever is greater.

Washington Township Park Information

Red Run Park Miniature Train 
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to drive the train.

The Township is still in need of volunteer train engineers and conductors to keep the Red Run Express running on weekends at Red Run Park. The Township will assist and pay for your child abuse history clearance and criminal record check.     

If you are interested in making young folks happy by providing free train rides for them, please contact Vern Ashway at the Township office at 717-762-3128. The Township will provide the needed training to operate the train.
