The Zoning Hearing Board is appointed by the Board of Supervisors and make independent decisions and determinations on requests for variances, special exception uses, appeals of ordinance compliance determinations by the Township Zoning Officer and any other uses not provideed in the Township Zoning Ordinance.

The members of the Zoning Hearing Board are:

    Attorney Deborah K. Hoff serves as the Zoning Hearing Board Solicitor.

The Zoning Hearing Board meets at 7:30 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month when a meeting is required. The board does not meet if there are no requests submitted in a particular month. Requests for Zoning Hearing Board action must be submitted in writing and include the required fee. Requests may be submitted to the Washington Township Municipal Office located at 13013 Welty Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268. telephone 717-762-3128, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Zoning Hearing Board members receive a small stipend for each meeting.
