Washington Township is a second class Township and operates in accordance with the Second Class Township Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Township's government is made up of five Supervisors, who are elected every six years. A township Manager is also appointed.
All meetings of the Township's Boards are open to the public, and are advertised in the legal section of the local newspaper.
