Common  Errors Encountered When Paying Tax Bills  

1.    Not paying the correct amount.

2.    Not adding the bills correctly.

3.    Not sending the “Taxpayer’s Copy” and a self-addressed stamped envelope when requesting a receipt.

4.    Not signing the check.

5.    Paying the Property taxes when the taxes are paid by a mortgage company.

6.    Presenting a “bad” check to pay tax bills. A $25.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks.
