Township operates two parks and two wetlands for the benefit of township citizens. The popular
Red
Run
Park on PA Route 16 and
Pine
Hill
Park with walking trails and ball fields is located on Mentzer Gap Road. Both parks are easily accessible to all citizens. The two wetlands are
Antietam
Meadow
Park and Happel's Meadow. Two additional parks are located in the township and are operated by others.
Zullinger
Community Center and the Sheffield Manor recreation area are available for people in those areas.
Pavilions are available to rent for the day during warm weather at
Red
Run
Park and Pine Hill. The pavilion fee schedule lists each of the pavilions at

The Township Supervisors recently approved an ordinance establishing the
Antietam
Meadow
Park adjoining the Antietam Creek East Branch and North Welty Road. A plan is being developed by the Antietam Watershed Association for preserving and using the new park. Park establishment, rules and regulations are contained the new ordinance which can be accessed on the main menu under ordinances.
