NOTICE OF HEARING

The Washington Township Supervisors on Monday, November 2, 2020, at approximately 7:00 p.m. will hold a public hearing at the Washington Township Municipal Building, 13013 Welty Road, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, to consider the following:

Application by Accent Developers, LLC for a Conditional Use to remove the age restriction on the development in Spring Valley Estates. The applicant is requesting the approval of this Conditional Use in accordance with Section 360-66(f) of the Code of Washington Township. The properties are located in the Residential (R-1) Zoning District, along Mystic Rock Lane South, Waynesboro, PA 17268.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND MEETING CONCERNING AMENDMENTS TO THE WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP ZONING ORDINANCE AND THE WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

 Please take notice that the Township of Washington Board of Supervisors shall be holding a public hearing in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code Act of 1968, P.L. 805, No. 247, as amended (53 P.S. 10101 et seq.). The purpose of the hearing shall be to gather public comment concerning proposed amendments to the Code of Washington Township and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of the Borough of Waynesboro and Washington Township on November 2, 2020, at approximately 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Township Offices, 13013 Welty Road, Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.  Immediately after the public hearing the Board shall consider enactment of the proposed amendments during a regularly scheduled meeting of the Board to be held at the same location.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
ORDINANCE NO. _____

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON, FRANKLIN COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING THE ZONING CHAPTER OF THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON.

 The introductory paragraphs set forth the legal authority for amendment.

ARTICLE 1.  Section 1. The zoning of 8267 Harper Dr. Waynesboro, PA 17268, shall be changed from Commercial (C) to Low Density Residential (R-1). The area to be rezoned Low Density Residential (R-1) is depicted in the EXISTING AND PROPOSED ZONING BOXES on the attached Exhibit “A”.  

ARTICLES 2, 3 AND 4.  Articles 2, 3 and 4 contain savings, severability, and effective date clauses

COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENTS

           The following amendments to the Washington Township Comprehensive Plan
will be considered by the Washington Township Board of Supervisors.
  1. Amends the Future Land Use Plan, Figure 4-1, and the Future Land Use and 
    Target Areas Plan, Figure 4-2, to reflect the proposed zoning changes as set forth
    in Article 1, Section 1, of the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendments above.

NOTICE OF HEARING

The Washington Township Supervisors on Monday, November 16, 2020, at approximately 7:00 p.m. will hold a public hearing at the Washington Township Municipal Building, 13013 Welty Road, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, to consider the following:

Application by David Geesaman for a Conditional Use to place a private cemetery on the property. The applicant is requesting the approval of this Conditional Use in accordance with Section 360-62 (D) of the Code of Washington Township. This property is located in the Agriculture (A) Zoning District at 11100 Prices Church Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
